The problem

1,486 newly registered parkers, but only 142 actively using the app

The key issues (based on provided data and user interviews) are difficulty finding garages, a missing onboarding process, and confusion around payment and reservation methods.

Key Objective

Our main objective was to boost Payuca’s daily active users, addressing the significant gap between newly registered users and those actively using the app.

Research

User Personas

We developed user personas based on user interviews, research insights and provided data. We identified four distinct user types and mapped what we believed to be their journeys within the app. These personas grounded the design process in real user needs, behaviors, and pain points, helping us make informed design decisions throughout the project.

User Stories

We wrote user stories to capture the goals and motivations of our users in a concise, actionable format. These stories served as a bridge between research and design, ensuring each feature aligned with real user needs and contributed to a seamless, goal-oriented experience.

Affinity Mapping

By clustering related observations, we were able to identify recurring themes, uncover user needs, and spot pain points that informed the problem statement and user journey.

Competitive Analysis

We conducted competitive analysis to evaluate existing solutions in the market. This process helped highlight industry standards, UX opportunities, and areas where our product could differentiate by addressing unmet user needs

Information Architecture

Based on the provided information, we identified four types of users and created what we believed to be their user journey within the app.

Interface Comparison

The redesigned experience offers a cleaner interface, improved information hierarchy, and more intuitive user flows. Every design decision was driven by user feedback and research insights, resulting in a solution that better meets user needs and enhances overall usability.
